If You Give a Mother a Cup of Coffee

If You Give a Mother a Cup of Coffee

If You Give

So, I thought I was so very clever to come up with this and after I was finished with my lovely work, I thought, “I know I’m not the only clever one around”, so I Googled to see if anyone else had my same idea.  It’s totally been done before, so I’m behind the times, like a couple of years behind, but here’s my version I wrote before discovering anyone else’s.

Enjoy, my fellow #GoodEnoughMom!

If You Give a Mother a Cup of Coffee

If you give a mother a cup of coffee,

she’ll want a muffin to go with it.

She’ll get herself a muffin and put it on a cute little plate.

When she sees her muffin on a cute little plate,

she’ll want to Instagram it.

When she’s done Instagraming her muffin, she’ll like a picture in her newsfeed.

And another.

And another.

And another.

When she sees the picture of her friend’s cute Mickey pancakes,

it’ll remind her that she needs to fix her kids breakfast.

She’ll walk into the kitchen, and look for a bowl to start breakfast.   She’ll notice it’s in a sink full of dishes.  Seeing the sink full of dishes will remind her she needs to run the dishwasher.

She begins to fill the dishwasher and accidentally spills water all over the floor.  When she opens the drawer to get a towel, she’ll notice the drawer’s empty.

She’ll go to the laundry room to get a towel.  When she gets into the laundry room, she’ll see the washer and dryer.  Seeing them will remind her that she needs to switch the loads around.

When she’s done switching the loads around, she’ll take the clean clothes to her room to fold.

On her way to her room she’ll step over a child that smells like poop.  Smelling the poop will reminder her that she needs to change his diaper.  So she’ll ask his brother to get her some wipes and a clean diaper.

When the brother returns with wipes and no diaper, she’ll notice chocolate on his face.  While wiping his face, she’ll ask, “what did you eat”?  When he says, “muffin’, it’ll reminder her of her muffin.

She’ll probably run to get her muffin on a cute little plate.

And chances are…

if she sees her half eaten muffin on the floor,

she’ll want a cup of coffee to go with it.

Hahaha! Fantastic! Great idea even if it has been done before, who cares! Yours is awesome, and now that I’m finished with my coffee, I think I want another with a muffin. And I better start laundry for the day…

Ohmgoodness! I laughed and laughed when I read this!! When I went on my GirlsDay Roadtrip this weekend, I was extoling the virtues of Instragram posting because I could take photos of our great time, put them on instagram and instantly get the work of twitter and facebook done simultaneously. Heaven forbid I think of eating a calamari sandwich with a seagull by my side and sealions below me and not share it with the world! I haven’t quite worked pinning in with these other three, but I’m pretty happy about it.

Oh, and I’m drinking an iced version of the chamomile tea I got from my favorite coffee house after my second visit to my daughter’s school today. I hate driving downtown without actually DOING something, after all. LOL.

Ha! Isn’t funny how sharing our life with the world is such a normal/expected part? Heaven forbid we do ANYTHING without sharing it. LOL

I am loving this idea of AtoZ…getting to read different pieces of writing, 3rd post about coffee and yet totally different from the ones that I read before. Loved it completely! 🙂

Good luck for the rest of the month,
