Ten signs that you may be a #GoodEnoughMom:
1. If you’ve ever used the front of your child’s shirt to wipe his snotty nose,
2. If you’ve ever dug through the dirty laundry to find clothes for your kids to wear,
3. If you’ve ever forgotten to send lunch or lunch money with your kids to school,
4. If you’ve ever left your kids in front of the TV all afternoon so you could have peace and quiet,
5. If you’ve ever served hotdogs for dinner for the third night in a row,
6. If you’ve ever thought, “I’m screwing this all up”,
7. If you’ve ever lost your temper with your kids,
8. If you’ve ever acted more like a child than your kids,
9. If you’ve ever gotten up in the middle of the night to care for your sick baby, or
10. If you’ve ever hugged and kissed your kids for no apparent reason,
Then, you may be a #GoodEnoughMom.
Today, celebrate the wonderful & imperfect job you’re doing.
So, what can you add to the list?
I love this. I think there is so much pressure to be a perfect parent. We are all human.
We sure are, but it’s easy to get caught up trying to live up to the perfect parent we visualize in our own head.
If you’ve ever said “Because I said so!”
If you’ve ever used bath time as break time.
If you’ve ever let your little one choose what’s for dinner.
If you have more scribble art work displayed in your home than professional art work.
Nailed it!! 🙂
Normally I have a ton of these just ready to spout off, now my mind is blank, LOL. I’ll have to come back later when I think of more to add the list. Although, I don’t think this is good enough mom, I think this is I’m rocking this gig!
You’re right, it’s pretty much a list of how you know you’re rocking it! 🙂
If you ever have to smell one twins breath because ur not quite sure which one you just gave the allergy meds. Oops!!
Oops! 🙂
If you’ve ever looked at the booger sitting on your child’s finger and tell them to “put it back!!”
Hahaha! Oh mom, I had to tell everyone that story. You’re the best Good Enough Mom ever! You’ve taught me everything I know! Love you! xoxo
