It’s not often, but I send my children into our unfinished basement alone to retrieve what they need.
Why?
Because the monsters in life are way bigger than the ones in our basement. I give them a “face your fears” pep talk, then wait at the top of the stairs to high-five their bravery. I’m always met with a huffing puffing child grinning from ear to ear.
Can you be my mom! This is just brilliant!
Ha! That may be a bit awkward at family reunions. 🙂
What a fabulous idea! Sure beats trying to learn to fight them as a 40+ year old 🙂
Right? I’m barely learning to fight them myself.
