Can you believe it’s December already? I know, me neither! Well, a new month means a new computer and phone wallpaper. You can get the previous ones here.

This is my favorite season of the year, because I can make chili and soup every night for dinner, and no one complains. It’s also the time we get out our twinkle lights and sing about the upcoming Oh, Holy Night. This season is electric with good cheer. I know it’s so easy for us to love people right now, because we’re reminded of the baby gift that came to earth to save the world. We drop pennies in the red bucket and wish the bell ringer a Merry Christmas, and like Clark Griswald, we pray for our Christmas bonus before all the sales are over, so we can buy those we love gifts. We sing songs and do our best to remember the reason for the season.

As you’re bustling around this month, as you’re sitting in the stillness of your advent devotion, as you welcome in a new year, remember this one thing:

There is only one Love. He is present in all, he is above all, through all, and in all.

{Ephesians 4:6}

Not some. Not the chosen few, but all. I envision an invisible thread running through myself and everyone I meet, tying us all together, creating a inseparable bond of Love between each of us. No matter how different we are, no matter how disconnected we seem, Love is in us all. Maybe others don’t recognize Love, maybe some don’t know or understand Love, but it doesn’t matter, Love’s subtle shifts of energy, the ebb and flow of His delight is present whether we see it or not.

So, this holiday season and all the seasons beyond, will you look for Love in everyone you meet? Will you recognize Him when you stare into a stranger’s face? Will you take the time to discover Love in every single place you go?
