About Me

“Matt’s affair is going to be the best thing that ever happened to you.”

Had you said that me to in the middle of the affair, I would’ve punched you in your face. No, that’s a lie. I’m too nice to do that. I would’ve smiled at you, but inside I would’ve punched you in the face.

Matt’s affair ripped the very fabric of my life apart. The perfect Christian family that I had worked so hard to create was shattered right before my eyes.

Exposed and bleeding, I was desperate to save my marriage, but in the end, it wasn’t my marriage that needed saving. I did.

Under my good girl mask, I discovered a self-loathing emotionally abusive girl, who was riddled with fear. Anger, depression, and resentment kept me locked in my inner hell. I was the one who was sabotaging my own life, family, and marriage.

Standing among the shards of my life, Love whispered,

“Oh, my dove, you’re all together beautiful. There is no flaw in you.”

For the first time in my life, I saw myself as Love sees me, and I began to put my life back together, piece by piece. My marriage was saved, but even if it hadn’t been, I knew that I am worthy to love and be loved.

Now, I can say, Matt’s affair was the best thing that happened to me, because it’s the thing that shattered the cage I was living in.

Here, on my blog, is where I share the pieces of our mosaic masterpiece.
